We found ourselves in dire straits after losing my brother-in-law and Father-in- law both within 3 weeks to the day from each other. We had to renovate an old house to Senior friendly standards to move my mom-in law to a safe home from a different State. We contacted JC and he came to give us an estimate... the house was in BAD SHAPE and parts of the foundation were actually not long from collapsing. JC, professionally recognizing what we were facing, said let me go under the house before we talk anymore. What he discovered and 100 percent accurately advised us on was truly frightening. The house was built in 1940 ish by my Great Grandmother and was my family's home. It was ridiculously, sub standard from the git go and remodeled even worse about 1979. JC gave us the bad news that we were somewhat expecting to here... but it was much worse. JC helped us and gave us hope...after being advised by others to consider demolishing the house I grew up in. It was THAT bad. JC and his crew worked with us tirelessly, to rebuild my childhood home for my Mother-in law from the ground up for her to live safely in. It was a VERY emotional process for me and JC handled it with the respect my emotions needed AND rebuilt from the ground up an , aesthetically stunningly, beautiful, space.... totally safe for my elderly MIL to live in....end result. And saved my childhood home from what was certain doom. I recommend JC and A Helping Hand Construction 100%

JC’s meticulous attention to detail is second only to his honesty, integrity, and work ethic. I wouldn’t hire anyone else. He’s the guy you call to get the job done right the first time or redo a job that was done by a low cost handyman or big-box store installer. I won’t make that mistake twice! Check out the vinyl luxury plank he installed in my mud room. He shaved the door jambs, cut every piece to perfection—even around the dryer vent and outlet, and silicone caulked all the molding to make it waterproof. Thanks JC!

We are very pleased with the work that JC did for us. We had tile put in our bathroom, kitchen, and back entryway. He did a beautiful job, I love how it looks. He always let us know in advance when he would be here and he showed up on time. After the project was finished JC made sure the work site was clean. This is a big plus in my book! We will definitely be hiring him again when the next project comes up.

From the initial contact it was a great experience. I found A Helping Hand Construction on Facebook and sent a message. JC responded immediately and came right over to check out my project. He was very transparent in what to expect. I decided to go ahead and have him do the work and I’m glad I did. He kept me posted on when he was going to be there and did an amazing job on the repairs. I will definitely call them again for my next project.

I received JC's info from my electrician when I had asked him for a referral for some work around the house. I found a rotted threshold at the back door of the house. Needless to say the door replacement immediately shot to the top of my list to get done to avoid further water damage. A full door replacement is something I felt was worth completely hiring out and JC came right out, looked at the water intrusion to determine the extent of the damage. Thankfully I caught this in plenty of time where it was no big deal. He ordered the new main door and accompanying storm door that I wanted for the house. He kept me updated by letting me know when everything was ordered and then later ready for install. He got everything done same day and did a excellent job making sure everything was properly aligned and sealed. Any sort of project out of my wheelhouse like this I will certainly reach out to JC. To Whom It May Concern I am writing to express my highest recommendation for A Helping Hand Construction owned by JC. Our home was recently under contract and a repair list from an inspector was generated. JC reviewed the list with us and gave his expert opinion on some listed repairs, which subsequently saved us significant funds. JC gave a written estimate and the work was completed within a given time frame and true to estimate. JC is a skilled and dependable worker. He works at a good pace and maximizes his time well with a repair list for a variety of tasks. JC was able to complete all repairs including plumbing and AC items. He is extremely trustworthy, allowing me to leave him in my home to run an errand on occasion. JC was able to articulate how he completed repairs on our house and importantly for us, the manner the repair was completed. We had an overzealous inspector who decided he wanted several of the repairs expanded. For example, replacing rather than repairing a shingle on our roof overhang. My realtor called JC and he explained that as that shingle was cosmetic in nature, a repair was sufficient. In addition, he was able to explain industry standards in a variety of areas to the realtors. In turn, the request for further repairs was dropped and our house closing remained on schedule.
